Sleep Disorders

Sleep disorders are common and increase in incidence with increasing age. The common problems seen are insomnia (lack of sleep or sleep disruption), excessive sleepiness, sleep apnea, narcolepsy amongst others. Almost 50% of people suffer from some sleep problems. These may be associated with other psychological problems that are often undiagnosed.

I work on the management of these sleep disorders mainly through behavioral therapy. After understanding the causes, I work on establishing the coping mechanism to improve the sleep quality.
